Trainee Survey Technician (Permanent)
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Trainee Survey Technician (Permanent Role) to join their expanding team in Australia.
This position sits within the Technical & Operations department, where the Trainee Survey Technician will play a key role in supporting the business to achieve its day-to-day operational objectives.
Job Knowledge and Experience:
- Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire.
- Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity.
- Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists.
- Checking, inspecting, and documenting equipment returned from hire.
- Visual inspection, function testing and writing technical reports.
- Identification of in-house or external repair tasks.
- Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice.
- General warehouse and delivery duties.
- Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation.
- Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation.
- Troubleshoot to successful conclusion.
- Assist offshore survey team as required.
- Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base.
- Attend Offshore training and undergo an Offshore medical.
