After initially planning an offshore career, Andrew embarked on agency work with Seistech and began to build a team. Following its acquisition by Atlas Professionals he was eventually promoted to UK Operations Director, responsible for the survey, ROV and seismic supply offices. He relocated to Singapore, where he was inspired to establish Elevate Offshore – and in the process create an agency that does things differently.

Andrew has overall responsibility for the commercial strategy and direction of the company, but most of all enjoys involvement in day-to-day operations, meeting people and delivering on their expectations.

Favourite thing about the job?

‘Dealing with all kinds of people, and trying my best to look after their interests. That’s what we’re all about – people.’

And outside of work?

‘I enjoy sports. I used to box a little, then played rugby for many years until an injury put an end to that, so now I try to play golf. Silly game really.’

With a rich professional journey spanning over 21 years, Laura has honed her skills in HR and Operations across a spectrum of industries. Her diverse experience includes offshore oil and gas, renewables, seismic exploration, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals (life sciences), building, and hospitality. Notably, she has dedicated 14 years to the recruitment services sector, progressing through the HR function at all levels and gaining extensive management experience, with a strong focus on Learning & Development.

At Elevate Offshore, Laura plays a pivotal role in the leadership team. Her responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable career development pathways and training programmes that foster a high-performing culture. She also standardises HR services, policies, and procedures while enhancing reporting and infrastructure to support the company’s growth. Laura is committed to championing initiatives that reduce the company’s carbon footprint, advance ESG goals, and promote ethical impact for clients and staff. Her role extends to supporting ISO audits and enhancing internal awareness.

Laura is CIPD-qualified and feels privileged to have worked in exceptional companies around the world alongside talented professionals. Her achievements include winning multiple awards, including Leader of the Year, Team of the Year, Collaborative Champion, top monthly sales contributor, and numerous Employee of the Month recognitions.

Favourite thing about the job?

“The most rewarding aspect of the job is the opportunity to meet people and support their career development. I thrive on working alongside talented individuals, particularly those transitioning into or new to leadership roles. Witnessing their progress and celebrating their successes is a source of motivation for me. I enjoy contributing to business strategy, shaping its execution, and seeing the tangible results of my efforts. The continuous learning that comes with working across diverse industries is exciting and fulfilling.”

And outside of work?

“I’m passionate about travel and am determined to see as much of the world as possible. Family is incredibly important to me, and I spend much of my time outside of work with my two-year-old son. He has taught me the joy of slowing down and appreciating life’s simple pleasures—whether it’s watching waves crash, chasing butterflies, or mastering new skills like climbing stairs unaided. These moments remind me that sometimes it’s important to slow down, be present, and be grateful for the simple things in life.”

Yana began as a contract receptionist with UTEC Survey Asia Pte Ltd before being offered a permanent role in its operations team, building knowledge in both offshore personnel and equipment. She went on to grow her skills in the recruitment of dive, ROV and survey personnel with Hallin Marine, then became a marine-focused Personnel Co-ordinator with Atlas Professionals. She then moved into the Account Manager role for survey and later, Team Leader in Singapore.

Yana, who joined Elevate Offshore as Operations Assistant alongside Managing Director Andrew Blears, now leads the operations team in Singapore.

Favourite thing about the job?

‘The rush of adrenaline and joy that comes with each successful placement and mobilisation. And making new acquaintances and meeting new people along the way, not knowing if it’s the start of a beautiful friendship.’

And outside of work?

‘I have a strong interest in interior decorating and DIY projects. And something that others find interesting is that despite initially studying mechanical engineering, I later took a degree in biomedical sciences, majoring in cancer research because I wanted to learn more about the disease.’

Possessing a degree in Marine Studies – Merchant Shipping (Nautical Studies) and qualified as an Officer of the Watch, Jack initially worked on various vessel types for Sealion Shipping in the Toisa fleet – the latter involving anchor chain inspection, platform supply and ROV inspection work. After taking time out to complete further maritime qualifications, Jack later began in office work as he supported contract survey personnel in pursuit of their next job.

Today he applies his experience to support the UK team, while working with clients to find the best personnel for their projects and contractors to find the best job to suit their skills.

Favourite thing about the job?

‘Supporting clients and contractors as they work on what are essentially life-critical projects – building new offshore wind farms, connecting the world via cable, sustaining oil & gas infrastructure and maintaining safe seaways for ships to carry goods around the globe.’

And outside of work?

‘Two kids keep us busy, as did a recent house-building project, but I still love being in or on the sea whenever I can – whether it’s surfing, sailing, swimming or paddling any sort of craft.’

With a career spanning the geospatial, surveying, and utilities sectors, Gwilym has held senior commercial and operational leadership roles across some of Australia’s leading companies. His experience encompasses major infrastructure, resources, and energy projects, providing a strong foundation in both technical delivery and strategic growth. Most recently, he oversaw group operations across multiple geospatial businesses, with a focus on integration, performance, and client outcomes.

Now leading Elevate Offshore’s presence in Australia, Gwilym describes the role as both an honour and a responsibility. It provides him the opportunity to build on the company’s international strengths while shaping tailored solutions for the Australian offshore market. His priorities include strengthening client relationships, ensuring operational excellence on current projects, positioning the business for sustainable growth, and building a strong, values-driven team.

Favourite thing about the job?

From my early days in the Timor Sea, I fell in love with this industry. Experiencing the world from such a unique perspective is a real privilege, whether it’s a quiet stroll at the end of a shift to the dull hum of a vessel underway or keeping balance in a 6-metre sea off New Zealand! Combined with the incredible people who make this industry what it is, it’s a career I truly value.

And outside of work?

I’m passionate about supporting not-for-profits and community organisations, especially in the disability sector. I currently serve as President of the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Association Australasia and as a board member with Variety WA. Away from work, I love spending time with my family, and when I get the chance, I’m determined to improve my golf handicap!”

A Maritime Studies graduate, Tony worked offshore for 25 years in roles ranging from Surveyor to Survey Party Chief across campaigns that included field development projects, flexible installations, metrology and multipurpose ROV survey support.

Tony joined Elevate Offshore last year and is involved in day-to-day operations and recruitment activities, developing relationships with survey and construction clients and contractors based in the Euro region. His role also covers business development and training.

Favourite thing about the job?

‘Developing contractors’ careers, providing training opportunities and attaining good placements/rates. And I get great satisfaction from enabling clients to complete difficult projects around the world. I also enjoy the social aspect of the role….networking, meeting new people and the opportunity to follow industry developments.’

And outside of work?

‘Not quite outside of work, but I did fill an entire Seaman’s Book of vessel stamps before moving onshore!

Away from the job, I’m passionate about music and the environment. I’m married with two beautiful kids, and am a carer for my daughter Poppy who has disabilities.’

Alex Natale

Geotechnical Consultant

Alex is a Geotechnical Consultant at Elevate Offshore, bringing years of expertise and experience to the team. With a Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a diverse career, Alex is a valuable asset in leading our geotechnical engineering discipline.

His career began with both onshore and offshore geotechnical drilling projects, then progressed to vessel and office-based management positions before becoming the general manager of a survey company. He then ventured further into the oil and gas sector, serving as a site characterisation and package manager before proceeding on a freelance basis as a geotechnical and foundation installation consultant.

In his role at Elevate Offshore, Alex focuses on all our Geotechnical requirements, ensuring that our input to client projects meets the highest safety, efficiency, and technical precision standards. He continues to work on geotechnical client representation projects to remain closely connected with the advancements within this field.

Favourite thing about the job?

“The geotechnical industry has a sense of community and a shared passion for tackling the unique challenges it presents. Being part of such a niche and highly technical field feels like being a member of an extended family, where innovation and expertise thrive.”

And outside of work?

“I am passionate about adventure and the great outdoors, particularly kitesurfing, snowboarding, or rock climbing.”

Sharifah Natasha

Sharifah worked as a flight attendant and hotel concierge after completing her studies, then joined a recruitment agency in 2018.

Her roles with Elevate Offshore include participation in recruitment activities, maintaining an overview of personnel availability and consulting with clients on vacancies.

Favourite thing about the job?

‘Speaking with professionals and connecting them to assignments. I can obtain more knowledge and understand their work better by talking to them. I adore socialising and getting to know new people.’

And outside of work?

‘I’m someone who loves food and am always ready to try new recipes! It gives me a sense of satisfaction. And having recently earned my Specialist Diploma in Aviation Management while juggling work and a three-year-old son, I’d like to continue my studies again soon.’

Spanning nearly two decades,  Jodie started her journey in the offshore industry in 2006, providing logistic support at Seistech. After a brief hiatus in 2010 for the birth of her son, she rejoined the workforce, landing at Atlas Professionals which had by then acquired Seistech. Over the years, Jodie has navigated through a spectrum of roles, including Admin Ops Support, Personal Coordinator, Account Manager, and Senior Account Manager, ultimately ascending to the position of Team Lead.

At Elevate Offshore, Jodie is a pivotal player in our business development team, crafting relationships and broadening our network. She oversees recruitment operations, from job placement and sourcing to confirming candidates with clients. Her responsibilities also encompass coordinating with external agencies and managing the mobilisation and demobilisation of contract staff. She is a certified Apprentice in Learning and Mentor Level 3

Favourite thing about the job?

‘The joy of working with people, assisting contractors in identifying the perfect job, and influencing positive career trajectories motivates me daily.’ 

And outside of work?

‘Off the clock, I cherish time spent with my three children, my husband, and my dog.’

Hannah initially began her journey in the NHS as a student nurse before discovering her passion for recruitment — a move that led her to a fulfilling career in offshore staffing. With over a decade of dedicated agency recruitment experience, she brings extensive knowledge of the subsea sector, particularly in roles such as Hydrographic Survey, ROV, Diving, and Inspection. Now, as an Operations Executive at Elevate Offshore, Hannah plays a vital role in connecting contractors with the right opportunities and helping clients build high-performing project teams. Her strengths lie in understanding people’s goals, building trust, and forging lasting relationships within the industry.

“I enjoy establishing relationships with contractors and clients alike to help them find their ideal career opportunity and break down their goals and aspirations. I love getting out and meeting people – it’s the best way to build the kind of long-term connections that make a difference. This job is like no other, no day is the same, and I love the buzz I get from finding that perfect opportunity for a contractor!”

And outside of work?

“My little boy is my world – everything I do is for him, and making memories together. I’m also passionate about music and travel. Going to gigs and festivals is my happy place!”

Zhi Xu is an Accounts Executive at Elevate Offshore, with several years of experience in an outsourced accounting firm. In October 2023, she transitioned to her current role with Elevate Offshore, where she is responsible for managing the company’s financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

“I have a passion for numbers. What I enjoy most is the opportunity to solve complex financial challenges and contribute to the company’s financial well-being.”

Outside of work?

“I love trying new activities and spending quality time with my lovely family during my time off.”

Shidah began as a receptionist with oil and gas company Hallin Marine and built her career, ultimately assuming the role of Crewing Team Leader with the Marine Department. She then became an Office Manager with DISA International.

She decided to re-focus on administrative work and today performs key duties in that discipline for Elevate Offshore.

“Meeting people from all walks of life, and getting to learn more about the offshore industry.”

“I’m married with three children and love listening to music.”

Gemma began with Seistech as Logistics Co-ordinator and continued in the role when it was taken over by Atlas Professionals. She went on to become an Account Manager, dealing with seismic personnel before assuming similar responsibilities in survey, then became a Personnel Co-ordinator.

Gemma joined Elevate Offshore in 2022 and has responsibilities that span day-to-day operations and recruitment activities, as well as logistics, contractor engagement and merchandise.

Favourite thing about the job?

“I like the fact that, even after so many years, every day is different.”

And outside of work?

“Since having my son most of my time outside of work is spent ferrying him around to clubs and parties!”

Elizabeth started as a crewing assistant with Swire, assisting with administrative work for Masters before moving to the training department and supporting the creation of training plans for all seafarers.

Today she is primarily assisting with administrative duties, ranging from flight bookings to visa applications.

‘I find that people in the offshore industry are always colourful and have interesting stories to tell about their life onboard. It’s always nice to hear about their experiences working on different projects.’

And outside of work…

‘I enjoy travelling to different countries together with my husband; it’s always exciting to see and experience different cultures.’

Since then, she has worked in different roles covering admin, marketing, sales, and events to develop her skills. She moved to Cornwall in 2023 and shortly afterwards started her role as an Operations Assistant with Elevate Offshore. Lauren’s responsibilities include supporting the team with contracts, logistics, and other day-to-day operations.

“As this is an entirely new industry to me, I am loving learning about everything ‘offshore,’ and I enjoy how fast-paced each day is.”

And outside of work?

“I spend most of my spare time in the gym, going for coffee with friends and visiting my family up North!”

Angelika, Operations Assistant at Elevate Offshore, joined the team in 2024 and brings extensive experience from her previous role as an Assistant Project Manager in the onshore renewable energy and telecommunications sectors. She managed onshore wind farm projects, coordinating logistics and stakeholder communication. Angelika also has a background as a Connectivity Project Coordinator, handling network services and project coordination. With a degree in International Management in Travel and Tourism, she has further developed her project management skills.

Favourite thing about the job?

‘Every day is a lesson, no matter how long you have been in the industry. It’s inspiring to see offshore renewable energy’s impact and how it shapes a sustainable future.’

And outside of work?

‘I spend most of my time engaging in sports like jet skiing, climbing, swimming, and rollerblading. I also enjoy the peaceful hobby of tending to my plants and greenhouse—it’s a perfect blend of adrenaline and nature!’

Neil brings nearly 20 years of administrative experience to the Elevate Offshore team, having worked across a range of sectors including banking, medical, industrial gases, and construction. In 2023, he made the move into the offshore industry, where he quickly found his niche supporting contractor logistics. In his current role, Neil plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations by coordinating global travel and providing essential support to help contractors arrive at their destinations prepared and on time.

Favourite thing about the job?
“My favourite thing about working in this industry is coordinating global travel for contractors—making sure they have everything they need for easy, seamless journeys around the globe.”

And outside of work?
“Music and football are big passions of mine. At home, I’ve got two teenagers and two dogs who keep me busy outside of work hours—mostly driving them around and clearing up after them!”

Kelly has built a solid career in finance and accounts, having spent 18 years with Atlas (originally Seistech), where she worked across all areas of accounting before focusing on credit control.
For more than a decade, credit control has been her speciality, and now, at Elevate Offshore, she’s a valuable part of our collaborative team and is looking forward to expanding her role as the business continues to grow.

Favourite thing about the job?

“I love that we work with people and clients from all over the world.”

And outside of work?

“Spending time with my family and friends is my main priority. I have two children who keep me busy! I also love yoga, running, swimming and walking, and feel really lucky to live in such a beautiful place to do those things. I try to get to the beach as often as I can. I also love travelling and exploring, whether it’s somewhere in the UK or further afield.”

Sean moved into offshore recruitment in early 2022, bringing with him a unique background that includes seven years running an English training centre in Zhuhai, China. Now part of the Elevate Offshore team, he focuses on the offshore survey sector, connecting experienced professionals with the right opportunities and helping clients build dependable, high-performing teams. Sean’s approach is proactive and personable, with a strong emphasis on building trust and delivering smooth, well-matched placements.

Favourite thing about the job?
“It’s dynamic and people-driven. I enjoy the variety that comes with speaking to different candidates and clients each day, and seeing placements come together smoothly.”

And outside of work?
“You’ll usually find me surfing, playing guitar in the evenings, or dusting off my golf swing, which still needs some work!”
