A new partnership between Elevate Offshore and Suffolk Survey & Subsea Services Ltd (S4) has already begun making an impact in the offshore industry, with the successful completion of their first joint training course: Survey Project Management for Marine Survey. S4 and Elevate Offshore designed this career-enhancing program for senior offshore personnel and experienced project managers in Birmingham from February 25–27, 2025.
A Leading Name in Offshore Training
Elevate Offshore is a specialist provider of survey, ROV, and inspection personnel for offshore oil and gas, renewables, telecoms, and power industries. Recognising the growing need for skilled offshore project managers, Elevate Offshore partnered with S4—an Innovatum Ltd Group Company—to deliver this tailored training course. Industry expert Arron Burrows led the course, bringing over 38 years of experience and more than 90 courses delivered, ensuring he shared a wealth of knowledge.

By offering courses like this, we ensure that offshore professionals have access to the training they need to advance their careers and thrive in an ever-evolving industry.”
A Comprehensive and Engaging Learning Experience
Held at Somerset House in central Birmingham, the course provided attendees with in-depth training on essential project management principles, including professionalism, communications, document control, project scheduling, resourcing, cost control, and client liaison. The curriculum followed best practices in the industry, covering key areas such as PRINCE2 methodologies, risk assessment, and contractual negotiations.
The event wasn’t just about lectures—participants engaged in interactive discussions, shared real-world experiences and gained practical insights to enhance their roles in offshore and project management. This interactive approach, combined with networking opportunities and an evening of entertainment at the Flight Club, ensured a well-rounded and engaging experience for all.
Positive Feedback and Career Impact
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, such as Phillip Wilding, who shared: “Thanks to Arron and Elevate Offshore, fantastic course. The content clearly and concisely bridged experiences from offshore projects, enabling me to continue personal development into Offshore PM roles. I would highly recommend it.” It is a testament to the course’s success and the impact it will have on the participants’ careers.
Chris Cain echoed this sentiment, highlighting the engaging nature of the course: “The content is excellent, and there was a good opportunity to ask questions as it progressed. Arron is very approachable and personable. A great few days and lots to take away and apply to my career in the future.”
