Fitter – Permanent Position
Location: Kintore, Inverurie
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hour per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fitter to join our client’s team on a permanent basis at their Kintore facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled individual with a strong workshop background to support the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly and testing of equipment within a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fitting activities including dismantling, inspection, repair, refurbishment and reassembly of equipment.
- Diagnose faults and determine suitable corrective actions.
- Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance and testing of equipment in line with company procedures.
- Conduct pressure testing and functional checks where required.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and equipment status.
- Assist with the organisation of tools, consumables, spares and general workshop areas.
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment for customer requirements.
- Operate workshop machinery, lifting equipment and tools safely and competently.
- Assist with stores duties, loading and unloading of equipment and deliveries when required.
- Follow company policies, processes and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety and QHSE standards.
Requirements
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering is preferred.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
- Previous experience working within a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work to a high standard of workmanship.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work safely, accurately and to tight deadlines.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
