Lead Marine Engineer – Kuwait (Shore based)
Job Description:
Lead Marine Engineer – 3/3 Rotation | 12-Month Contract
Elevate Offshore is looking for an experienced Lead Marine Engineer to join a four-person deployed maintenance and repair team on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation.
This is an initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension, offering a key leadership position within an operational environment where asset reliability, maintenance standards and vessel availability are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational assurance and oversight of maintenance activities, defect diagnosis and rectification to ensure minimum service availability requirements are achieved.
- Coordinate closely with the Duty Operations Manager to schedule maintenance and effectively plan the asset duty cycle.
- Ensure safe working practices are maintained and appropriate safe systems of work are implemented and followed.
- Provide daily situation and engineering reports to the UK Engineering Manager.
- Manage and provision technical stores, spares and consumables.
- Oversee marine diesel fuel bunkering and associated quality control.
- Lead and direct the Marine Mechanical Engineer, Marine Electrical Engineer and Marine Technician in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Take a hands-on approach to wider team activities and the response to emerging technical or operational issues.
Role Requirements
- Demonstrable marine engineering experience with strong maintenance leadership capability.
- Proven experience coordinating fault diagnosis, rectification and planned maintenance across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work and operational safety requirements.
- Experience managing technical stores, maintenance records and operational reporting.
- Calm, practical and solutions-focused leadership style, particularly within environments where vessel availability is critical.
- Ability to work effectively with operational colleagues, remote subject matter experts and customer personnel.
- Comfortable working as part of a small, deployed and hands-on engineering team.
