Hands-On Learning: Elevate Staff Deepen Fusion 2 and Sprint Expertise

On 19 June 2025, Sam Taylor (Staff Party Chief) and Charles Friend (Staff Survey Engineer), attended a one-day introduction to the Sonardyne Fusion 2 system. This session was part of our remote learning programme, designed to keep our team ahead of industry standards, wherever they are in the world.

A Complete Learning Journey

Sam shares his experience below:

‘I had project-based experience with the software but no formal training, and this course gave me a much broader understanding. It provided a clear and helpful overview of LBL calibration – something I wanted to explore in more depth.

The remote format was very convenient, and I appreciated attending from the comfort of my own home. It gave me time to explore software utilities I hadn’t used before, which definitely boosted my confidence and skills.

Stuart handled all my technical questions with confidence and clarity, which made the experience all the more valuable. I completed the course alongside a new user, and it was great to support his learning too by encouraging him to take control of the software during the sessions.

I’d recommend this course to anyone with some hands-on experience who wants to deepen their understanding, especially if they can’t attend the full course in Plymouth.’
